Tibo Deschildre

Tibo is pursuing a Master’s degree in Conflict and Development studies at Ghent University, with a regional focus on Eastern and Central Africa and the Mashreq. His research interests center on the importance of state sanctioned violence in the protraction of (armed) conflict and the armament of vigilante and grass-roots organizations. He joined IPIS in January 2026 as a Research and Communication intern.
