Liliana Lizarazo Rodriguez

Liliana Lizarazo Rodriguez joined IPIS as an associate researcher in 2019. She is an expert in the areas of Business & Human Rights, law and sustainable development, international economic law and judicial adjudication. Liliana is attorney at law at the West Flanders Bar (Belgium), at the Ilustre Colegio de Abogados de Madrid (Spain) and in Colombia. She is lecturer at the University of Antwerp and at Vesalius College (Brussels) and has been professor at the universities of Rosario and Sergio Arboleda (Colombia) and guest lecturer at the universities of Salamanca (Spain), Nacional de Colombia and Maastricht University (The Netherlands). She has been the lead researcher in various projects on business & human rights for the Federal Institute of Sustainable Development (FIDO/IFDD) (Brussels) and has participated in other research projects in Colombia, Belgium and Indonesia.
Liliana studied Law at the Universidad del Rosario (Bogota) and UNED (Madrid), and development studies at the University of Antwerp. She obtained a master degree in Public Administration and Management from the University of Antwerp, as well as a PhD in Law from the University of Ghent.
