Jorinde van der Horst

Research & Communications Intern

Jorinde joined IPIS as a Research and Communication Intern in May 2021. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in History and a Master’s degree in Conflict Studies and Human Rights. She has focused specifically on religious and ethnic dimensions of conflict and the role of civil society organisations in peace building. For her Master’s thesis, she conducted research on the role of human rights activists in countering religious nationalism and extremism in India. She is very eager to learn more about the economic side of conflict and the role of CSOs as well as businesses in realising peace and sustainable development during her internship at IPIS.
