Abdoulaye joined IPIS in October 2024 as a Communication and Research Intern. He holds a master’s degree in conflict and development studies from Ghent University, where his thesis explored the underlying causes and implications of military takeovers in West Africa, focusing on case studies from countries such as Mali, Nigeria, and Burkina Faso. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. Abdoulaye’s research interests include the political dynamics of Africa, human rights, and sustainable development. His academic background has fueled his passion for addressing global challenges, particularly in governance, conflict resolution, and development.
