In <a href=\"#NK\">North Kivu<\/a>, officials from Walikale condemned the activities of FDLR and Nyatura rebels in the territory. They accused the militias of killing five people and burning down several houses in Bulindu and Ihula. In Lubero territory, 16 former Mai Mai La Fontaine combatants have surrendered to the FARDC. Unknown assailants are said to have abducted three Congolese aid workers in Lubero on March 2, who were released again this Tuesday. On March 3, the Congolese army and police announced joint operations in Masisi, in order to regain areas that are now occupied by Nyatura and APCLS elements. This Monday armed assailants reportedly attacked two villages in Masisi, killing six people and injuring four others. In <a href=\"#Ituri\">Ituri<\/a>, there are reports that the Mai-Mai Simba killed two soldiers and gravely injured a park guard on the Penge mining site on March 4. According to the administrator of Mambasa territory, the rebels also kidnapped five other soldiers and three more guards. <a href=\"#HU\">Haut-Uele<\/a> on March 7 saw violent clashes between local inhabitants and police officers in Durba near the Kibali goldmine, which resulted in two deaths and several wounded.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In <a href=\"#Burundi\">Burundi<\/a> <a href=\"#armed attacks\">grenade attacks<\/a> continue, especially in Bujumbura. Last weekend, explosions took place in several places in the capital. On Saturday, March 5, ten people were said to have been injured during attacks in Kinama and Kamenge neighbourhoods. The next day, a grenade exploded in Muramvya, killing one and injuring six others. In Gitega, a man was reportedly <a href=\"#extrajudicial killing\">found tortured and killed<\/a> on Tuesday morning, March 8, along the Nyabugogo stream.
