The UN is investigating the matter and taking action.<\/p>\n<p>Violent clashes broke out this week in <span style=\"color: #0085aa;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"#K\">Kinshasa<\/a><\/span><\/span>, when 3000 people rallying against president Joseph Kabila seeking a third term, were attacked by unidentified youths. Reportedly, one protester was killed and three others were wounded. In <span style=\"color: #0085aa;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"#NK\">North Kivu<\/a><\/span><\/span>, gunmen attacked a FARDC post in Beni territory last week, resulting in several deaths. This Tuesday in Kokola, northeast of Beni, a merchant and his two daughters were killed, presumably ambushed by ADF. In <span style=\"color: #0085aa;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"#SK\">South Kivu<\/a><\/span><\/span>, a militia leader of Ra\u00efa Mutomboki asked for guarantees concerning his safety during his surrender in the context of DDRRR. North Ubangi (<span style=\"color: #0085aa;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"#E\">Equateur<\/a><\/span><\/span>) reports approximately 1800 Central African refugees, who fled clashes between Seleka and Anti-Balaka in the Central African prefecture Mobayi-Banga. Civil society in Moanda (<span style=\"color: #0085aa;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"#BC\">Bas Congo<\/a><\/span><\/span>) on the other hand, states to be satisfied with the return of safety since the introduction of police patrols.<\/p>\n<p>In <span style=\"color: #0085aa;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"#Burundi\">Burundi<\/a><\/span><\/span>, over 100 men have been arrested by security forces, which feared they would be recruited to fight against the government. Two people were found dead on September 14, after being murdered under unclear circumstances. In Bujumbura, General Prime Niyongabo escaped an assassination attempt, while his body guards and some of the assailants were killed. In <span style=\"color: #0085aa;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"#Uganda\">Uganda<\/a><\/span><\/span> last week, police fired tear gas at opposition supporters for two consecutive days. Meanwhile, the <span style=\"color: #0085aa;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"#CAR\">Central African Republic<\/a><\/span><\/span> saw several attacks in Bangui. Three people were killed and numerous others were injured when unidentified motorcyclists threw grenades at two different localities in the city. An ambush against MINUSCA members on September 10 only resulted in severe material damage. Gunmen attacked the vehicle of General Prime Niyongabo &#8211; a supporter of President Pierre Nkurunziza &#8211; in the early morning hours, spokesperson Colonel Gaspard Baratuza told dpa. Niyongabo was unharmed but &#8220;his guards were killed, and some of the attackers were killed&#8221;, said Baratuza.
