{"id":8142,"date":"2019-02-15T17:12:57","date_gmt":"2019-02-15T16:12:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ipisresearch.be\/?post_type=publication&#038;p=8142"},"modified":"2020-09-03T13:53:32","modified_gmt":"2020-09-03T11:53:32","slug":"ground-based-incident-reporting-eastern-drc-2","status":"publish","type":"publication","link":"https:\/\/ipisresearch.be\/nl\/publication\/ground-based-incident-reporting-eastern-drc-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Ground-based incident reporting in eastern DRC &#8211; Progress Report 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In January 2018, the European Partnership for Responsible Minerals (EPRM) granted IPIS funds to implement an independent, transparent and participatory platform for incident reporting and<br \/>\ncommunity empowerment in responsible sourcing in the Eastern DRC gold sector.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This platform will contribute to improving transparency around follow-up and resolution of incidents in cooperation with relevant stakeholders. IPIS has engaged in capacity enhancement of of 7 mining cooperatives through a series of trainings and follow-up visits led by CEGEMI (Centre d\u2019Expertise en Gestion du secteur Minier). Details on this first phase of the project are available in <a href=\"https:\/\/ipisresearch.be\/\/publication\/ground-based-incident-reporting-eastern-drc\/?hilite='eprm'&amp;highlight=eprm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the first progress report<\/a>, issued in July 2018.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-canvas-width=\"789.745\">\n<p>Since the training, IPIS worked on the development of an incident reporting methodology, the Gold Incident Tracker developed by IPIS and powered by Ulula.
