In its <a href=\"https:\/\/ipisresearch.be\/\/publication\/voices-tanzania-case-studies-business-human-rights-vol-1\/\">the first volume<\/a> , the \u201cVoices from Tanzania\u201d publication covered a diverse range of human rights topics from four major economic sectors in Tanzania \u00a0(resource extraction, agriculture, tourism and infrastructure). <strong>The second series<\/strong> will focus on one of <a href=\"https:\/\/ipisresearch.be\/\/2019\/04\/multi-stakeholder-dialogue-business-human-rights-tanzania-identifies-land-rights-environment-priority-topic\/?highlight=Tanzania#038;hilite=%27Tanzania%27\">Tanzania\u2019s priority topics regarding Business and Human Rights<\/a>: issues of <strong>land rights and environment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ipisresearch.be\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/20190715_115610.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-8675 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/ipisresearch.be\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/20190715_115610-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ipisresearch.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/20190715_115610-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ipisresearch.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/20190715_115610-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/ipisresearch.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/20190715_115610-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/ipisresearch.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/20190715_115610-400x225.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Four new partner organisations<\/strong> from civil society &#8211; Community Economic Development and Social Transformation (<strong>Cedesota<\/strong>), Land Rights Research and Resources Institute (<strong>HakiArdi)<\/strong>, Lawyer\u2019s Environmental Action Team (<strong>LEAT)<\/strong> and Tanzania Women Empowerment in Action (<strong>TAWEA<\/strong>) &#8211; will explore pertinent corporate human rights issues related to land and environment.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To kick off their Voices studies, participants gathered on 15 and 16 July 2019 in Dar es Salaam for <strong>a two-day training on field research and report writing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ipisresearch.be\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/20190716_105447.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-8676 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/ipisresearch.be\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/20190716_105447-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ipisresearch.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/20190716_105447-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ipisresearch.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/20190716_105447-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/ipisresearch.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/20190716_105447-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/ipisresearch.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/20190716_105447-400x225.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The training aimed to <strong>strengthen the capacity<\/strong> of the participants, through the exchange of knowledge, experiences and best practices on topics such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohchr.org\/Documents\/Publications\/GuidingPrinciplesBusinessHR_EN.pdf\">UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights<\/a>, planning and running a research project, human-rights field research, security and risk management, post-field work data analysis and report writing.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The workshop allowed current participants to interact with CSOs who contributed to the first \u201cVoices from Tanzania\u201d series. This stimulated an <strong>exchange of lessons-learned and first-hand advice<\/strong> that already proved of great added value, not in the least in preparing for upcoming field work.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The training launches the start of a longer-term engagement with these organisations and is part of the EU-funded project <span style=\"color: #4283a0;\">\u2018<em>Improving monitoring, research and dialogue on Business &amp;
