In this project, IPIS reviewed existing data collection processes and developed an online platform where SAESSCAM agents from the provincial antennas can register artisanal production data on mining sites and transaction at selling points as well as update number of workers on each site or report incidents. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.saesscam.cd\/SAESSCAM\/app\">web application<\/a> is accessible on the SAESSCAM website and is password-protected.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ipisresearch.be\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Schermafbeelding-2016-11-15-om-11.36.21.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4643\" src=\"https:\/\/ipisresearch.be\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Schermafbeelding-2016-11-15-om-11.36.21.png\" alt=\"schermafbeelding-2016-11-15-om-11-36-21\" width=\"671\" height=\"441\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ipisresearch.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Schermafbeelding-2016-11-15-om-11.36.21.png 671w, https:\/\/ipisresearch.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Schermafbeelding-2016-11-15-om-11.36.21-300x197.png 300w, https:\/\/ipisresearch.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Schermafbeelding-2016-11-15-om-11.36.21-400x263.png 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 671px) 100vw, 671px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The antennas of North-Kivu, South-Kivu, Maniema, North Katanga, Tshopo, Ituri, Haut-Uele and Bas-Uele, as well as the offices of Lubuyabera and Banalia, the Provincial Ministry of Mines from North-Kivu and a delegation from iTSCi have been trained recently in Goma and Kisangani by IPIS researcher Alexandre Jaillon.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ipisresearch.be\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Schermafbeelding-2016-11-15-om-11.37.17.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4642\" src=\"https:\/\/ipisresearch.be\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Schermafbeelding-2016-11-15-om-11.37.17.png\" alt=\"schermafbeelding-2016-11-15-om-11-37-17\" width=\"678\" height=\"509\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ipisresearch.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Schermafbeelding-2016-11-15-om-11.37.17.png 678w, https:\/\/ipisresearch.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Schermafbeelding-2016-11-15-om-11.37.17-300x225.png 300w, https:\/\/ipisresearch.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Schermafbeelding-2016-11-15-om-11.37.17-400x300.png 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 678px) 100vw, 678px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>An interactive <a href=\"http:\/\/www.saesscam.cd\/SAESSCAM\/Map\/V4d\">webmap <\/a>is publicly available through SAESSCAM website and displays coordinates of more than 2000 artisanal mining sites in Eastern DRC as well as important traceability and due diligence information such as type of mineral, ministerial qualification (Green, Yellow or Red), number of workers per site and location of mining licenses.
