In Bangui this week clashes between the Seleka and former President Bozize supporters left at least ten people dead, whilst in the north of the country an upsurge in violence is said to have occasioned numerous deaths, sparking fears of a new rebellion. Cameroon is reported to have closed its frontier with the CAR following a violent Seleka incursion upon the border town of Toktoyo, killing\u00a0a Cameroonian police official.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile as Martin Kobler\u00a0toured eastern\u00a0DRC in\u00a0his new role as\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ipisresearch.com\/briefing.php?id=79#MONUSCO\">MONUSCO<\/a>\u00a0head this week, civil society orchastrated\u00a0strikes demanding the launch of offensive operations continued in Beni. Clashes between the Mai-Mai Cheka and the APCLS are reported to have caused considerable displacement in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ipisresearch.com\/briefing.php?id=79#NK\">North Kivu<\/a>, whilst\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ipisresearch.com\/briefing.php?id=79#SK\">South Kivu<\/a>saw the movement of around two thousand people fleeing attacks by unidentified gunmen said to have killed ten people in Mutarule. The attack has ignited anger among local youths and accusations of links between the armed men and members of the state security forces.
