<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About IPIS:<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ipisresearch.be\/\">International Peace Information Service<\/a>\u00a0(IPIS) is an independent research institute providing tailored information, analysis, policy advice and capacity enhancement to support actors who want to realize a vision of durable peace, sustainable development and the fulfilment of human rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-about-the-internship-nbsp\"><strong>About the internship&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You\u00a0will assist the communication team in both strategic and daily activities, and work in close collaboration with the researchers, project coordinators and partners.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Your tasks may include:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:5px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>General&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Collaborate with our communication officers to develop and implement the work plan for IPIS\u2019 communication strategy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist researchers and\/or our communication officers in drafting summaries, web entries, leaflets, annual reports, etc. Translate&nbsp;research results in accessible formats for various target groups.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with the organisation of events and webinars.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work on advocacy campaigns for IPIS and the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/Participate in the revision of the structure of IPIS\u2019 website.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kimberley Process Civil Society Coalition<\/a>\u00a0(KP CSC), of which IPIS is a member.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create visuals and audio-visual materials.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist the communication officers in keeping the internal communication tools updated.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:5px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Website\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Add content to the websites of IPIS and of the KP CSC in both English and French.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in the revision of the structure of IPIS\u2019 website.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:5px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Social media&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Design content to promote IPIS\u2019 work on social media (Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram) in both English and French.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Encourage and assist researchers to share relevant material on their field missions and&nbsp;research.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:5px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Press&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assist&nbsp;with&nbsp;defining press strategies per project.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist&nbsp;with&nbsp;drafting press releases.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Further develop and update IPIS\u2019&nbsp;media contacts&nbsp;list.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:5px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Research oriented tasks&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Within IPIS\u2019 series \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/ipisresearch.be\/\/home\/capacity-enhancement\/voices-from-the-south\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Voices from the South<\/a>\u201d:\u00a0\u00a0review publications submitted by our African partners and collaborate with them to strengthen their research outputs.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Write or edit\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ipisresearch.be\/\/briefing-category\/ipis-briefing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">briefings<\/a>.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:5px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Your profile&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You are a master\u2019s student in communication and\/or international relations looking for an internship as a part of your academic training or in preparation for your future career.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You have strong analytical and writing skills.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You are creative and you have a specific interest in sub-Saharan Africa.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You are sensitive to the non-profit mandate of IPIS and are able to comply with scientific rigour.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You are proficient in English (IPIS\u2019 working language) and French.
