Les chercheurs d\u2019IPIS ont publi\u00e9 des rapports d\u00e9taill\u00e9s, s\u00e9par\u00e9ment et en association avec d\u2019autres partenaires, incluant des travaux de consultance\u00a0 pour les Nations Unies ou Amnesty International, sur les transferts d\u2019armes probl\u00e9matiques et leur logistique. Les \u00e9tudes de cas r\u00e9alis\u00e9es par IPIS ont d\u00e9montr\u00e9 comment les armes l\u00e9g\u00e8res, les syst\u00e8mes d\u2019armes majeurs et les \u00e9quipements associ\u00e9s sont fournis et utilis\u00e9s pour faciliter les sch\u00e9mas de violence et les violations du droit international, cr\u00e9ant de l\u2019instabilit\u00e9 et sapant le d\u00e9veloppement. Des donn\u00e9es approfondies ont \u00e9t\u00e9 collect\u00e9es et des analyses ont \u00e9t\u00e9 effectu\u00e9es sur les subtilit\u00e9s de la cha\u00eene d\u2019approvisionnement en armes, les activit\u00e9s de courtage, les moyens de transport et l\u2019impact des transferts illicites et mal r\u00e9glement\u00e9s afin d\u2019am\u00e9liorer l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 des divers m\u00e9canismes et instruments de contr\u00f4le des armes.<\/p>\n<p>Les recherches d\u2019IPIS contribuent aux initiatives nationales et internationales qui visent \u00e0 pr\u00e9venir les transferts irresponsables d\u2019armes qui exacerbent la violence, les conflits et la r\u00e9pression, \u00e0 rem\u00e9dier \u00e0 la faiblesse des contr\u00f4les sur les mouvements physiques des armes conventionnelles \u00e0 travers les moyens de transport, les itin\u00e9raires et les fronti\u00e8res, \u00e0 mettre en \u00e9vidence les liens entre les flux irresponsables et illicites d\u2019armes et l\u2019exploitation des ressources naturelles par les acteurs \u00e9tatiques et non \u00e9tatiques. IPIS contribue \u00e9galement au renforcement des comp\u00e9tences et des capacit\u00e9s institutionnelles par le biais de mat\u00e9riel et d\u2019activit\u00e9s de formation visant \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer le contr\u00f4le du commerce des armes et effectue des recherches sur le terrain concernant les activit\u00e9s de commerce et de trafic
